Welcome to the Creative Castledyke Space!  Exciting things are happening in the next couple of years at Castledyke and it is here, that you will find out all about them.  Barton is arguably one of the most creative communities in North Lincolnshire and we want to exploit this for all it worth.

Coming soon, will be an up to date diary of what is available in our community for your child to take part in, from workshops at the Ropewalk to fun sessions at the Viking Centre. This part of the website will be updated frequently and will be packed full of stuff for them to do over the holidays!

What does this mean for your children?

Creativity to our school is not a lovely painting or a pretty mother’s day card.
Creativity is making mistakes, learning from them, taking risks, exploring, getting messy, confidence, independence, having fun and importantly, allowing time for slow thinking in a crammed fast paced curriculum that we have in all schools today.

Your children are already taking part in ‘Creative Partnerships’ where they have made a beautiful willow sculpture and planted all sorts of gorgeous plants.

In the next year we are hoping to set up a fantastic outside space which will allow children to work creatively on a large scale. If all goes well, this space will be one of the best in the country which all our children will be able to access.
