Every Easter Castledyke have a reading competition to encourage children to read more frequently. Each class’ reading score is added each week and put on a graph in the hall. The class with the most amount of reads get a big Easter egg to share. This year Mrs Smith’s class won, 2S. Each child who reads every night that the reading competition is running recieves an Easter egg. Here are some of the children that are super readers. Great work guys. Remember reading is not just for Easter, it’s for life!

Celebrating excellent achievements

Every Friday we celebrate excellent achievements within the school. Children who have come to the attention of staff through their ideas, work, kindness, sporting achievements and attitudes recieve a certificate of excellence from the member of staff that they have come to the attention of and this is presented by the head teacher, Mrs Pugh. Here are a selection of pupils who achieved excellence in the Spring term. Fantastic work.
